Anti-Trump Rally in Downtown Albuquerque ends in Police, Protestor Clashes
The May 24 anti-Trump rally, which started with peaceful protests, devolved into absolute anarchy, with rioters and police clashing in the street amongst tear gas and flaming Trump flags. It began when protestors were refused entry into the event, and then attempted to overwhelm police officers and force their way into the event. Protestors threw flaming articles of clothing, water bottles, and rocks. It was reported that windows on the second story of the Albuquerque Convention Center were broken by a pellet gun of some sort. As the night grew darker, the protestors become only more and more anarchic, being pushed further and further away by riot-gear wielding officers from local, county, and state departments.
